CIBER-BBN
Nuestra política de innovación
Public research organisms, hospitals and universities forming part of CIBER-BBN are important technology-generating centers. To that end, one of the priorities of CIBER-BBN is to strengthen the transfer of said technologies to the business and industrial networks. Actions will therefore be conducted which dynamize and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology from the scientific sector to the production sector.
Sobre CIBER-BBN
The Biomedical Research Networking center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN) is one of nine CIBER consortia in the country, created under the leadership of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) to promote research excellence and build a critical mass of researchers in the field of Biomedicine and Health Sciences. The CIBER-BBN was officially established by the Executive Council on December 4, 2006, with its head office in Zaragoza.
The research programs of the CIBER-BBN are: Bioengineering and biomedical imaging, Biomaterials and tissue engineering and Nanomedicine, with the Centre's research aimed at developing both systems for prevention, diagnosis and monitoring and related technologies for specific treatments such as Regenerative Medicine and Nanotherapies.
The overall objectives outlined in the CIBER-BBN scientific plan include increasing the research capabilities of the member groups by sharing resources, coordination and promotion of synergies. A greater and better use of advanced technologies in the National Health System will be encouraged, with the CIBER progressively becoming the national reference in these technologies. At the same time, the CIBER will increase the Spanish presence in decision-making forums and international research networks in its field. With this joint effort, we are setting out to improve the technological level of industry in this sector in Spain and foster the emergence of specialists with a high level of training in health technologies.
