  DRACO SYSTEMS specialized in made-to-measure solutions in image and video processing as well as in systems and sensor control, located in Barcelona, Spain, has developed a wireless camera solution for a number of new applications like medical instrumentation, sport devices, security and industrial imaging.
  
  The camera architecture is based on an ARM9, a hardware video coprocessor, and a Wi-Fi module working at 2.4 & 5 GHz (802.11 a/b/g/n). Furthermore, it contains a 5Mpixel CMOS color sensor, a SDHC card for video recording, and Bluetooth. It is a low power consumption (<3W) device and has an autonomy for 5/6 hours in a compact 40x40x20mm size.
  
  The camera is adaptable to each technology needs. Thanks to its access point capability, its size and its weight, is able to send HD live stream towards mobile phone, tablet or laptop devices where it could be visualized using an standard player such as Mplayer.

Nuevo método para producir nanopigmentos no tóxicos y biodegradables

  Un pigmento híbrido es una mezcla controlada entre material orgánico e inorgánico. Como material inorgánico podría ser utilizado varios tipos de arcillas por sus propiedades nanoscópicas y, como material orgánico, colorantes naturales o sintéticos (thermochrome, eletrochrome, luminiscencia, etc.)
  
  El grupo de investigación ha desarrollado un nuevo método para producir pigmentos híbridos nanoestructurados con propiedades ópticas y coloidales específicas de acuerdo a los parámetros de producción. Principalmente, la customizaton del comportamiento de estos materiales se consigue mediante el control del ratio material orgánico / inorgánico.

  This method has two stages:
  
  1) Dispersion of, at least, an inorganic material in water.
  2) Addition of, at least, an organic coloring solubilized by agitation.
  
  The following parameters might be changed in order to obtain different kinds of nanopigments:
  
  • Inorganic material concentration.
  • Organic coloring concentration.
  • pH.
  • Temperature.
  • Ionic strength.
  
  The optical response of nanopigments changes as a function of the particle size of the inorganic material (or materials) used by the diffusion.
  
  This method makes it possible to produce new hybrid nanopigments with optical and colloidal properties for tailored applications. Mainly, the customizaton of the behaviour of this materials is achieved by controlling organic/inorganic ratio in the material.
  
  The morphology of the material is hybrid (laminar/fibrillar). The organic coloring is selected among different types: azoic complexes, metallic, sulphurose, iminoquinone, antraquinone, ftalocianine, etc. In general words, they can be both natural or synthetic.
  
  Products can be used in printing inks, painting and dyes, paper, synthetic or natural fibers, polymer materials, cosmetics, etc.
  
  With this method the following features can be achieved:
  
  Color range control: Through the control over the different spectral species, the optical response is modified too, so the color range can be enlarged.
  
  Increase in the colouring power: The ability of the material for increasing the absorption on the surface is linked to three parameters. First, absorption coefficient of the nanopigment in relation to the coloring solution coefficient. Second, light dispersion caused by nanoparticles and addtiional coverage of the surface to fill. Third, reology and fisico-chemical properties of the material are able to obtain homogeneous dispersions.
  
  Environmental impact reduction: Some of the usual pigments contain heavy metals in its composition while inorganic solids used in this method are free of heavy metals and can even be used in cosmetics.   La industria textil es uno de los consumidores más esenciales de la industria de bienes. Sin embargo, la industria textil también se le acusa de ser una de las industrias más contaminantes. No sólo la producción, sino el consumo de textiles también produce residuos.
  
  La mayoría de los residuos textiles proviene de fuentes domésticas. La vida media de la ropa es de aproximadamente 3 años, tras lo cual, se tiran como ropa vieja. A veces incluso se descartan también «las prendas no tan gastadas" a medida que pasan de moda.
  
  Nuestro compañero está ofreciendo un nuevo proceso ecológico para la recuperación de polímero acrílico de fibra acrílica de color y residuos textiles. El uso del polímero acrílico recuperado como materia prima reduce el coste de la fibra acrílica en el mercado para garantizar una fuerte competencia con otras fibras de bajo costo, tal como poliéster. El proceso combina la utilización de los residuos con el fin de obtener beneficios.

El termómetro molecular luminiscente puede ser procesado en medios poliméricos o integrado en un híbrido orgánico-inorgánico matriz a base de siloxano.   In its current state of development, the molecular thermometer qualitatively exceeds current performances in accuracy, space resolution, reliability and ease of use. The molecule, however, and the host matrix, accept modifications that can further extend thermometric properties and commercial uses, e.g., maximum temperature sensitivity can be tuned to specific temperature ranges and wavelength emission can be moved towards ad hoc ranges for specific applications, like near infrared range where biological tissues have minimum absorption.   While other micro-molding machines simply adapt the concepts used in conventional injection molding processes, Sonorus 1G has been specially designed for manufacturing above quality standard micro and mini scale components, by using energy efficient ultrasounds.
  
  Furthermore, the operation of this new technology involves a smaller number of control variables than those used for conventional microinjection, allowing to improve the quality of parts produced.
  Sonoplast technology, developed in Spain, has been conceptualized in the machine Sonorus 1G, the first high precision thermoplastic microinjection machine based on ultrasounds. The machine is available in the market since 2011.
  
  The industrial application of high frequency ultrasounds is currently focused in only some applications such as welding, cutting, cleaning or discrete mass, mixing and componding, etc. Our product is a real revolution for the molding industry plastic.
  
  Sonorus is a compact size machine (between 1-2 tons) with minimal noise emission level. Its main advantages are:
  
  - Higher quality of the final piece: The high accuracy of Sonorus allows to obtain excellent finish end pieces.
  - Reduced costs: Significant energy savings (around 40%) derived from the integration of ultrasonic device as a system of merger and reduced material waste (around 50%).

  Mechanic wave propagation through a liquid depends on its characteristics. These can be altered by physic micro-changes caused by the presence of microorganisms. These little alterations on normal characteristics of milk cause that the ultrasonic wave takes more or less time to recover the way between the emitter and the receiver (velocity) and besides modify the absorption that “milk” environment exerts on ultrasonic waves, modifying the amplitude of wave peaks (absorption).
  
  The object of this patent is a new non-invasive method of broad spectrum microbiological detection and analysis based on the propagation of elastic waves through the milk or a dairy product derivative.
  
  The advantages of this system are:
  
  - NON- INVASIVE: intact package, without the introduction of electrodes or reagents.
  
  - REAL TIME DETECTION: both sample incubation and analysis are done at the same time, allowing the detection of microbial growth when it happens.
  
  - RISK MINIMIZATION: with a previous pre-incubation (1 hour), ULS analysis is constant and the detection takes between 9 and 24 hours.
  
  - EFFECTIVE: with a unique operation, you obtain different microorganisms detection.
  
  - COST SAVING: This technology does not use chemicals and no sample preparation is needed. This fact reduces the cost of the analysis.
  
  - RELIABLE TECHNOLOGY: Neither sample manipulation nor complicated operations by workers are needed, minimizing mistakes.
  
  - SUSTAINABLE: no material destruction, no packaging invasion and no product contamination.
  
  - EASY TO USE. By only manipulating the tactile screen that activates the opening/closing of the sample measurement module, the system sends the ultrasonic wave across it. The results are shown in the control panel with a very simple color code.

In its manufacturing process, using recycled materials and is an activity that does not pollute or harm the environment because it do not generate waste in their manufacturing process, no environmental conflict.
  
  Method of manufacturing. So far the use of pallets was limited by the use of flat wood pallet standard dimensions, and injected high-cost products and parts rotational molding or thermoformed, limiting its use to few applications. After a long period of study and hard work, we have obtained this type of plastic pallet assembly/removable, concluding that the most feasible for the manufacture of our products (of all those known in the world of plastic) is via:
  
  - Hollow extrusion of rigid profiles, reinforced interior walls (that gives us enough to play any shape and size) well as the strength, consistency and robustness that this type of product demand, and ...
  
  - Injection, from which to obtain small pieces of additional anchors, added to those already existing in extruded parts, providing appropriate fasteners to consolidate our ecopalet.
  
  Each of the parties obtained with both methods, 100% composite plastic, that once assembled each other with a method that makes it easy to anchor, we provide technical and mechanical characteristics we demanded was to have our pallet, avoiding as much as posible nails, splinters or any other non-plastic, possible to change a damaged part easily, simple and clean.
